Sacrificing Sensitivity to Come Home

Every choice demands a sacrifice. If you want to earn some money, you have to sacrifice time, energy, and sweat. If you want to lose some weight, you sacrifice time, energy, and money sometimes. If you want to get a head, you sacrifice time and energy. Anyone see a trend here? Many workers in our world dream of coming home to work full time from their own home office. But few understand the full sacrifice of what they will give up in the office. Who wants to leave that burnt, free coffee behind?

Those who choose to come home will miss out on the social opportunity of that exist with those exciting and mandatory staff meetings. After all, who doesn't want to hear the same thing repeated that they just read in the 20 interoffice memos printed last week? If you choose to come home, you will miss out on the monotone voice of your supervisor, reiterating these same memos in the spoken form. You will miss seeing your co-worker Bob fighting his fatigue and jerking every time he nearly falls asleep in his chair.

Secondly, you will miss out on sensitivity training. No one will come to your door at home when you begin your new home business and offer sensitivity classes for you and your coworkers (kids and spouse). As a result, you may well miss out on the needed education of sensitivity in the work place and become an absolute dictator from the office. You may easily forget that your eight-year-old cannot type like your secretary at the office, and in turn, you could easily become that insensitive person required to attend such sensitivity training at your formal place of work.

Finally, you will miss out on the rush that comes whenever your alarm fails to go off and you realize that you will be an hour late for work. No longer will your heart pump and blood pressure spike because you wonder if this time will cost you your job. Instead, you will have to live with the daily tedium of waking up to the annoying sound of birds chirping and the potent smell of coffee from your own machine. That's right, your own coffee. You will probably have to make your own coffee as well, and thus you have one more task added to your list.

Coming home takes work. You will give up much when you leave the traditional office: Sweaty, anxiety-filled meetings, uncomfortable, boring sensitivity training, not to mention the adrenaline rush that comes from screwing up. Consider these things intensely when you decide to choose whether or not to come home for work. The home business will offer some rewards. If it didn't, then everyone would stay at the office.

THE KEY TO HOME BUSINESS SUCCESS

Self-motivation is the key to success when you start a home-based business. You need to possess the ability to push yourself ahead. Your drive and determination will be reinforced with every new sale.

The level of success that you will achieve greatly depends on the time and effort you are willing to plow into your new home business. Your organization, planning and marketing skills, will all be put into practice when you embark on your liberating journey from employee, to being your own boss. In fact, you will be the wearer of many hats and gain a wealth of business experience along the way, when you finally make that commitment to work at home.

YOUR SUCCESS RESTS ENTIRELY UPON YOUR OWN SHOULDERS

You will now be the boss. Are you truly able to work independently? Do you have the drive; the tenacity, to persevere with your home based business? Will you be able to invest the necessary time to nurture it, to watch it grow and see it through, from germination to full, glorious bloom? When you`re the boss, you are responsible for the success of your home business, from A to Z, from disappointments to victory.

When you work at home, it will empower you to achieve many things you were unable to do when you were stuck working for that tyrant boss. Remember him? He`s the guy that wouldn`t let you take time off when your baby was sick...the same guy that called you in to work on a public holiday.

A home business means that you can take good care of your family and make money from home, simultaneously. You will have the best of both worlds! Just think--no more dirty laundry piling up--you can do it while you work. No more scurrying around at the last minute searching for a babysitter either. And no more worrying about getting fired; you`ll be the boss!

IN CONCLUSION...

Stay positive and focused on your home based business, even if, when sales aren`t up to par, you get occasional negative remarks or derogatory comments from people with stuffy, dead-end jobs. Ignore their cutting words and bear in mind that success is the best revenge! Keep your admirable, positive attitude at the forefront and show them what you`re made of!
